About

Matthew Hudson (Matt Hudson) was born in Boise and raised in Eagle, Idaho. He attended Eagle High School and competed as a multi-sport athlete. College football was not part of the original plan, but during his senior year multiple Division I programs reached out, opening a path he decided to pursue.

He took a post-graduate year at Fork Union Military Academy in Fork Union, Virginia, a full military school where he played another season of football and earned team MVP honors on a roster that included more than 20 future Division I players.

Hudson went on to Harvard University, graduating a semester early with an honors degree in Economics as a first-generation college student. He played in all 30 career games, earned multiple All-Ivy selections and awards, and was named the 2023 team MVP.

After Harvard, he used his final season of eligibility at the University of Memphis while completing an accelerated MS in Sports Management. He started all 13 games and served as a defensive captain on a Memphis team that finished ranked No. 22 in the nation and capped the season by winning the Frisco Bowl. In 2025, that trajectory led to multiple NFL rookie minicamp opportunities, including participation with the Cleveland Browns, marking the next step in a career built on earned roles and continuous development.

Currently

Supporting students and student-athletes

Focused on helping students, and especially student-athletes, translate the habits built through sport into real opportunities beyond the game. The goal is practical support through mentorship, preparation, and access to the right networks, with an emphasis on making the transition from athletics to career more straightforward and less uncertain.

Sports, finance, and technology

Passionate about the intersection of sports and finance, where performance, incentives, risk, and decision-making all collide. That naturally extends into technology, especially tools and systems that help people build skills, find opportunity, and execute at a higher level. The projects in this space are aimed at solving real problems and producing outcomes that are clear, measurable, and useful.

Community impact

Committed to using leadership and platform to make a positive impact in the community. Initiatives that support youth development, education, and mentorship, with an emphasis on showing up consistently and building long-term relationships, not one-time moments. The long-term goal is building and supporting programs that create access, confidence, and opportunity for the next generation.
